Ingredients

Black gram
200gm
Garlic paste
One
A small piece of ginger grated
Green chilli finely chopped 
Three
Red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon
Bhuna (roasted ) jeera powder
1 teaspoon
Cornflour .
2 tablespoons
Garam masala .
1 teaspoon
Dry mango powder a
pinch.
Onion finely chopped

. Green coriander leaves  finely chopped
Salt
to taste.
Pure ghee or oil
100ml
Onion rings to garnish

Steps

  1. Soak the gram in a large bowl with water, at least for five hours and cook it in a pressure cooker until two whistles
  2. After cooling , drain out the water and grind it in a mixer to make a fine thick paste.
  3. Add chopped onion, garlic paste, grated ginger, put remaining ingredients and mix it well.
  4. Add cornflour, chopped green chilli and chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.
  5. Make small round tikkies.
  6. Heat the non-stick pan, put some ghee and shallow fry till golden brown, only four or five at a time.
  7. Serve it hot with green chutney, a piece of lemon and few onion rings.
