Ingredients

Lauki
1 kg
Milk full cream ltr
1
Mawa small bowl  or  fresh malai
1
Sugar 
200 gm
Dry fruits  chopped  small bowl  
1/2
Green cardamom  
8-10
Deshi ghee
1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Wash lauki properly then peel it off and grate it, wash it again and squeeze off the water.
  2. Heat Kadai, add milk, on boiling add grated lauki, stir it in between,cook it openly on low flame for 20-25 minutes, it will be slightly dry then add sugar and mawa, stir it continuously and cook it for 8-10 minutes on high flame.
  3. Add Deshi ghee, cardamom powder, cook it for two minutes and your halwa is ready
  4. Garnish it with dry fruits and serve it hot or whichever way you like.
  5. It can be kept in fridge and can be used whenever you want to eat it.
